Chad Lowe's daughter Fiona's official cause of death laid bare

The official cause of death of actor Chad Lowe's daughter has been laid bare.

According to the report from the medical examiner obtained by People magazine, 13-year-old Fiona passed away at the hospital on September 29 at approximately 1:14 a.m.

The manner was determined to be a suicide.

The Lowe family announced the heartbreaking news of Fiona's death on Tuesday.

“We are deeply heartbroken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” Chad and his wife Kim Painter wrote in a joint statement.

"She was a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance," they continued. “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives."

The Lowe family added. "Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time."

Recently, an insider revealed to Page Six that Chad's daughter was "very well-liked" in the community.

“Fiona was a very well-liked student,” a source shared. “She had a lot of friends.”
