GTA 6: 12 new gameplay secrets revealed ahead of release
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to be released on November 19
Game informer has revealed new exciting details regarding Grand Theft Auto VI’s features in the latest special issue, showing the game's technical aspects, gameplay mechanics and GTA 6 world.
World of Leonida
The first revelation is about the world of Leonida where GTA 6 will take place as confirmed by Rockstar. Leonida is inspired by Florida with Vice City reimagining Miami. The map is nearly double the size of GTA V’s San Andreas.
Speaking about its interiors, it features world density, hand-crafting back alleys, utility zones, and building interiors that can often be entered without traditional loading screens.
It also shows diverse biomes including marshlands, industrial sectors, beaches, specialized ATV trails and deserted tourist areas.
Overhauled environmental Physics
Rockstar also worked on environmental physics, making weather more dynamic. For instance, weather is no longer uniform; one district can experience a severe tropical storm or hurricane while a neighboring block remains completely sunny.
Talking about air mass simulation, wind can adapt dynamically depending on weather, daytime and architecture. All these weather patterns such as storms, wind and rain impact character hair, clothing, swamp vegetation, and loose debris.
Wildlife details
One can also see around 170 species in Leonida world as Rockstar has placed great emphasis on wildlife detailing. The species include flamingo, manatees and alligators. Fans will also experience a dramatic return of full-scale fishing.
Passersby feature unique physical traits such as height, build, skin tone, tan lines, freckles, and clothing will visibly collect dirt and wear down over time.
Gameplay new mechanics
Players can use their in-game smartphone to call an Uber-like service to act as passengers, allowing them to browse social media, listen to the radio, or chat during transit.
Player choices during key narrative moments heavily impact both the plot progression and the romantic bond between the two protagonists Jason and Lucia. It could lead to branching storylines. The classic "BUSTED" arrest screen remains a series staple.
Side activities
Given the diverse terrain, players will experience a myriad of side activities besides the main story and other quests. The activities span from jumping, gym workouts, billiards, and street racing to mini golf. Surrounded by the water, the players could do activities like suba diving, boating and jet skiing.
Six regions
GTA VI’s map will consist of six different regions, with Vice City being the central part.
The names of the regions are Leonidas Keys, Grassrivers, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, and Mount Kalaga National Park. it is also revealed that certain factions may appear in each region of the map. For instance, a biker gang will dominate Ambrosia.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to be released on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
