Report details Carrot Top's final message before hospitalisation

New details have emerged about the moments leading up to Carrot Top's suicide attempt last week.

Police report state that the comedian, whose real name is Scott Thompson, reportedly sent his manager a one-word text reading "Done" shortly after a phone call discussing an upcoming article alleging misconduct against him, per Page Six.

During that call, Thompson allegedly told his manager his Las Vegas residency would be ending and expressed concern for an unnamed woman and her daughter before hanging up. When the manager was unable to reach him afterward, he contacted police to check on his welfare.

Officers arrived at Thompson's home and found him unconscious near his pool before he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. According to earlier reporting, Thompson had overdosed on prescription medication. His representative confirmed Sunday that he is now awake and breathing on his own, though he remains hospitalised.

Thompson's attorney has since filed for emergency protective relief, alleging that former collaborator Brian Evans attempted to extort Thompson using a sexually explicit recording, demanding $500,000 or threatening to make the material public. 

Evans has denied the allegations, stating he never threatened to release any video and claiming the recording in question was deleted long ago.

He also expressed sympathy for Thompson's situation while asserting he bears no responsibility for it.

Thompson's residency shows at the Luxor Hotel and Casino remain canceled as he undergoes recovery.
