Prince William comforts heartbroken Princess Ingrid Alexandra in sweet moment
Prince William shares emotional moment with Princess Ingrid Alexandra at King Harald's funeral
Prince William, the Prince of Wales attended the funeral of Norway's King Harald V on Wednesday.
As the future King of Britain made appearance on behalf of King Charles, he shared a touching moment with Princess Ingrid Alexandra.
During the solemn proceedings, William was captured approaching Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Norway’s future queen, and giving her a gentle kiss on the cheek.
The small interaction stood out amid a day of mourning as the Norwegian royal family said goodbye to the late monarch.
Ingrid Alexandra, 22, walked behind her grandfather’s coffin alongside her father, King Haakon VIII, and younger brother Prince Sverre Magnus as the funeral procession made its way from the Royal Palace to Oslo Cathedral.
It is pertinent to mention that William was among the international royals who gathered in Oslo to pay their respects to King Harald, who died on August 28 at the age of 89 after more than three decades on the Norwegian throne.
While William represented his father at the state funeral, his aunt, Princess Anne, attended in a personal capacity as godmother to Norway’s new King Haakon VIII.
