Biggie Smalls had an outsized influence in the hip-hop community when Snoop Dogg was making rap.

That, therefore, makes sense of him playing a part in the biopic of Dogg.

And the casting has already been done; according to Variety, SwayvoTwain will play The Notorious B.I.G.

He is a musician himself and the son of known singers D’Angelo and Angie Stone.

Beyond the casting, Biggie and Dogg were key parts of the 1990s hip-hop scene, though they were associated with different but rival groups; still, reportedly, they respected each other.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Daviss himself is playing the Next Episode hitmaker in his biopic.

Other key castings include Myles Bullock Be (as Dr Dre), Lauren London (Snoop’s late mother, Beverly Tate), Camron Jones (Tupac Shakur), and Algee Smith (Warren G).

Tre Hale (Suge Knight), Laya DeLeon Hayes (Snoop’s wife, Shante Broadus), Olly Sholotan (Kurupt), Corey Champagne (Nate Dogg), and Jonica Booth (The Lady of Rage).

According to Universal, the biopic is slated to release on August 6, 2027.
