How Andrew Garfield finds comfort after feeling ‘resentful’ of work?
The Spider-Man star has a secret antidote space in his house where he spends time after a burnout
Andrew Garfield revealed that his favorite activity to do on an off day is to lie down and to enjoy the scenery he looks at through his home windows.
During a recent appearance on the Smartless podcast, the 43-year-old actor opened up about how he got exhausted after 11 months of continuous work.
"You get to the point sometimes where you're so deeply resentful of the work that you love to do so much, and that's kind of where I'm at."
During that period, Garfield switched between roles as Sam Altman in Artificial, King Richard II in The Uprising, and magician Roy Horn in the Apple TV+ series Wild Things.
Now that Garfield finally got the break, he unwinds by watching "dumb TV", reading books, and "literally looking out" the window.
"I have a lovely window in my house, and there's a beautiful tree that I just stare at," he shared.
Moreover, Garfield revealed he also likes to spend quality time with his family and friends.
Garfield also reflected on how he feels about spending time away from home for his acting career.
"I'm thinking about that more as I get older. In my 20s and 30s, it was like, I'll go anywhere any time, and I'll devote myself to this in a way that's probably a little unhealthy," he added.
