Travis Barker reveals what led to his divorce from Melissa Kennedy

Travis Barker has opened up about his short-lived marriage to Melissa Kennedy.

The Blink-182 drummer, who parted ways with Melissa in 2002, finally revealed how their romance ultimately fizzled out due to his busy tour schedule in his mid-20s.

"I was touring with Blink non-stop. It was tough, especially since I was married at the time," Travis said in his Hulu documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear.

"I kind of realized that the relationship wasn’t working out for either of us anymore," he added.

Travis further shared that his marriage to Kennedy ended after they got into a "huge blowout."

"I went to back to L.A. soon after that and life just kept getting crazier and crazier," the 50-year-old musician said.

For those unversed, Travis and Melissa divorced in 2002 after less than a year of marriage.

The singer soon found love again with his second wife, Shanna Moakler, but their hectic schedules took a toll on their personal life.

"Balancing home life and touring, our relationship was getting more and more challenging," Travis said of his relationship with the former Miss USA. "Divorce came soon after."

Travis is now married to reality star Kourtney Kardashian.
