Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor reveal what 'The End of Oak Street' taught them

Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor recently revealed the skills they learnt from The End of Oak Street.

For those unaware, the forthcoming science fiction survival dinosaur film stars Hathaway as Denise Platt and McGregor as Greg Platt, who comes across unusual events in their neighborhood, including the appearance of prehistoric creatures.

At the world premiere of their new suspenseful survival film in Burbank, California, on August 9, both co-stars shared with PEOPLE magazine some valuable tips to live through a catastrophe, which they learnt from the film.

Hathaway said having a good mindset in deleterious circumstances is crucial, as she explained, “You know, in hindsight, I was thinking about what’s the most important survival skill that you can have, and I think it’s a sense of humor.”

“If you can do cool things, and you know how a Swiss Army knife works, that’s definitely going to be helpful. You can build a fire, that’s awesome. But the thing that’s really going to get you through is being able to laugh, I think,” The Devil Wears Prada star said.

On the other hand, McGregor stated that it is always important to “have a sledgehammer at the ready.”

“I keep one under my bed now, just in case. Yeah, a sledgehammer is very useful,” the Star Wars actor unveiled.

It is pertinent to mention that The End of Oak Street is set to open in cinemas under the banner of Warner Bros. Pictures on August 14, 2026.
