Lucius cancels show due to Jess Wolfe's health scare
Lucius announces cancellation of a scheduled show this weekend because of Jess Wolfe's health woes
Lucius has cancelled the Los Angeles show, prioritising the health of Jess Wolfe.
The American four-piece indie pop band released a statement on social media on Friday, August 7, announcing the cancellation of a scheduled show this weekend, as Wolfe underwent emergency gallbladder surgery.
The statement, penned by the American singer-songwriter herself, read, “We’re very sorry to announce that we won’t be able to perform this Saturday at the summer concert series with our friends Lord Huron.”
Wolfe stated, “Both myself and Holly do not take show cancellations lightly, and we were truly looking forward to performing. Unfortunately, I had to undergo emergency gallbladder surgery this week and still need time to recover.”
“We know may inconvenience some plans and we are truly sorry. Many thanks to Beech Mountain, Lord Huron, and every fan for your support and understanding,” the statement concluded with an apology.
For those unaware, the show was set to happen at the Beech Mountain Ski Resort in Beech Mountain, North Carolina, ahead of their next show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles in September of this year.
It is pertinent to mention that Jess Wolfe, along with Holly Laessig, founded Lucius in 2007, which expanded when guitarist Peter Lalish, formerly multi-instrumentalist Andrew Burri, and drummer Dan Molad joined it.
