Perez Hilton's horrific livestream raises questions about his mental health: Here's what we know

Perez Hilton’s podcast co-host Chris Booker has finally broken his silence regarding the "unimaginable" mental health crisis facing the famous blogger.

For those unversed, the 48-year-old celebrity blogger was admitted to the hospital earlier this week after he attempted to harm himself during a live stream on TikTok.

Chris, who has been co-hosting The Paris Hilton Podcast since 2015, has now spoken openly about this surprising situation.

“I am so profoundly sad for Perez and his family and what they're all going through. It's truly unimaginable," he said in a statement shared on Instagram.

“I have spoken only briefly with the family. I read the statement that his team released and want to honour their wishes at this impossible time," Chris continued.  “Even the family is struggling to get updates due to the confidential security measures in place at the hospital because of how many people are trying to get information.”

Chris also provided an update on the status of their podcast and wrote, "I am very hopeful that when the right time comes, I will be able to continue it with my friend."

“He is very loved. I can only hope that he feels it. Heal up, friend," he concluded.

Chris's statement comes after Perez’s family issued an update on the columnist's health.

"We have also been able to confirm that Perez is able to communicate, which has given our family hope,” the family said in a statement.

“We respectfully ask for your continued prayers, understanding, and grace as Perez continues to recover,” the message read. “We will share additional updates as we receive confirmed information and are able to do so.
