Ariana Grande details future plans after announcing hiatus from showbiz
Ariana Grande recently announced that she intends to take a 'much-needed break' from her career
Ariana Grande is reportedly stepping away from the spotlight to spend her time with those closest to her, including boyfriend Ricky Alvarez.
“She’ll be spending a lot of time with her family, friends and Ricky,” an insider told Page Six on Tuesday.
“Between touring, rehearsals and her other work commitments, she and Ricky haven’t been able to spend as much time together as she would have liked over the past few months, so she’s looking forward to having more uninterrupted time with him,” the source added.
For those unversed, Ricky worked as Ariana's backup dancer before the pair started dating in 2015.
After being in a relationship for about a year, the two separated in July 2016 but maintained a friendly relationship.
Ariana and Ricky recently rekindled their romantic relationship following the singer's breakup from Ethan Slater.
The 7 Rings hitmaker's spokesperson revealed on August 2 that Ariana would step back from public-facing activities after concluding her 'Eternal Sunshine' tour in September.
Her representative added that Ariana decided to take a "much-needed break" following the "constant public scrutiny" regarding her weight.
"Ariana will be taking a step back from visibility after she completes the Eternal Sunshine Tour," Ariana's rep told People magazine.
“She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny," added a spokesperson. “This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much.
