D4vd murder case: Hidden clue found beside Celeste's body raises questions
D4vd is accused of murdering a teenage girl named Celeste Rivas Hernandez in 2025
A criminalist from the Los Angeles Police Department testified on Wednesday that she found 11 air fresheners in D4vd’s Tesla, along with the decomposing remains of a 14-year-old girl.
“I gathered some of the air fresheners and found 11 throughout the vehicle and the majority of them in the center console, rear seats and frunk,” Chelsea Murillo testified on July 22 - the second day of a preliminary hearing for the singer.
Along with air fresheners in the rear door pockets, Chelsea also spotted insects and dead flies in the vehicle's front compartment (frunk).
The prosecution displayed a photograph of the recovered air fresheners, along with an image showing a mass of fly larvae where the body had been concealed.
Chelsea further said that "there was a strong odor coming from the vehicle," adding that it “smelled like a decomposing body.”
The forensic expert inspected and examined the Romantic Homicide hitmaker's Tesla on September 9, 2025 - one day after the remains were discovered.
