Angelina Jolie wants kids to 'heal' as they navigate life after Brad Pitt split
Angelina Jolie wants everybody to get along years after painful divorce from Brad Pitt.
Angelina Jolie wants peace to prevail as she continues to collect pieces from her divorce with Brad Pitt.
The 51-year-old star wants her children to live in prosperity as they continue to disassociate themselves from Pitt.
Jolie, 51, shares six children with Brad Pitt: Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 18. On July 21 Jolie's daughter, Vivienne, filed a petition to drop estranged father, Brad Pitt's name from their own.
“If people knew the whole truth, they would have more sympathy for the children and respect them,” a source close to Jolie says. “The fact they aren’t speaking ill or sharing things publicly only shows their decency.”
The source adds, “Angie hasn’t been fighting and isn’t angry. She just wants everyone to heal.”
This comes as Jolie's eldest daughter, Zahara is seeking to legally change her name to Zahara Marley Jolie, while Maddox wants to change name Maddox Chivan Jolie. Jolie's daughter, Shiloh, also filed to drop Pitt from her name and change it to Shiloh Jolie.
“It’s sad to see someone repeatedly publicize their successful alienation of their children from the other parent,” a source close to Pitt, 62, previously told PEOPLE.
