Spice Girl Mel C reportedly planning intimate Lake District wedding

Melanie C is reportedly preparing to marry her boyfriend, Chris Dingwall, in a private ceremony this weekend.

Reports say the former Spice Girls star, 52, and her partner are expected to exchange vows at a relaxed wedding in England's Lake District. 

Although the couple have not publicly announced an engagement, reports claim the ceremony will be attended by close family and friends.

Several outlets have also reported that Mel C invited her fellow Spice Girls members to the celebration, raising hopes of a reunion as the group marks the 30th anniversary of their hit single Wannabe. 

However, reports suggest Victoria Beckham will be unable to attend because of previous commitments in the United States.

Sources quoted in the reports say the couple wanted to keep the guest list small and avoid a star-studded event, choosing instead to celebrate with their closest loved ones.

Mel C and Dingwall reportedly met through the celebrity dating app Raya and made their relationship public in 2024. The singer has previously spoken about her happiness and revealed that some songs on her album Sweat were inspired by her relationship.

Reports have also suggested the couple may eventually relocate to Australia, where Mel C works as a coach on The Voice Australia. Her daughter, Scarlett, is also expected to begin university later this year.

Neither Mel C nor her representatives have publicly confirmed the reported wedding plans.
