Anne Hathaway has reportedly shifted her complete focus to her family after announcing her third pregnancy.

On Friday, June 19, the 43-year-old American actress posted a clip on her Instagram announcing that she is expecting her third child with her husband Adam Shulman with whom she tied the knot in 2012. The couple has two sons together, 10-year-old Jonathan and 6-year-old Jack.

An insider told PEOPLE magazine that Hathaway is now “focused on family,” as she shared the exciting news almost two months after the premiere of her movie The Devil Wears Prada 2.

The source said, "She's grateful for where she is in her career and for the opportunity to be part of a film that means so much to so many people.”

“Complaining just isn't Anne. She approaches things with gratitude and professionalism, and that's exactly how she handled the press tour,” the insider stated. “Right now, she's focused on family and enjoying a little downtime.”

Hathaway did not want to sabotage the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2, which is why she kept her pregnancy news secret during the press tour of the much-awaited sequel.

They noted, "Anne was excited about the movie and wanted the attention to stay on the project. She has always been very good at separating her personal life from her work life.”

"She wanted to reveal the pregnancy on her own terms. The press tour was about celebrating the movie and getting fans excited to see it,” as per the insider.

It is pertinent to mention that Anne Hathaway did not let her pregnancy affect her acting career, and her forthcoming film The Odyssey, written and directed by Christopher Nolan, is evidence of her unwavering devotion to her profession.

The Odyssey, adaptation of Homer's ancient Greek epic the Odyssey, will open in theatres globally on July 17, 2026.
