Jane Seymour explains why she avoids cosmetic procedures at 75

Jane Seymour says she has no desire to look 30 again now that she's in her mid 70s, explaining that the reason has more to do with her work.

Speaking at the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala, the 75-year-old actress elaborated that she has avoided cosmetic treatments such as fillers and laser procedures.

"I'm not trying to be 30 when I'm 75," she said, joking that looking 60 again "would be nice."

Jane explained that much of her acting work depends on showing real emotion. Because of that, she wants all the muscles in her face to move naturally.

"I've been playing a lot of older women," she said. "For real, authentic emotion, you need every muscle to work."

Jane, who's also made appearances in the James Bond film Live and Let Die previously, said she is currently enjoying one of the busiest periods of her career. Currently, she stars in the crime drama Harry Wild, which is now heading into its fifth season.

She said she feels fortunate to still be leading a successful television series at 75 and revealed she is also preparing to film a new movie in Australia later this year.

“Who has a series when they’re 75? Nobody," she gushed.

Outside acting, the Medicine Woman star also recently launched an art exhibition featuring her watercolour paintings in New Jersey.

She is also celebrating her engagement to singer-songwriter John Zambetti after three years together. 

“Someone decided they wanted to be with me for the rest of their lives. My singer-songwriter,” she previously told US Weekly.

Jane said she enjoys having music in her life and joked that she has become her fiancé's muse.

“(I’m) still writing music and now I have become his muse. So now I have a singer-songwriter in the house, which is amazing,” she also told Page Six.

The actress has been married four times before, and her upcoming wedding to John will be her fifth marriage. She was previously married to theatre director Michael Attenborough, author Geoffrey Planer, business manager David Flynn and actor-director James Keach.
