Victoria Beckham targeted after Tom Cruise kisses her hand

Tom Cruise's kiss on Victoria Beckham's hand has sparked mixed reactions from social media users, with some taking swipes at the former Spice Girl.

The  video from the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony where David Beckham was honored with a star show Victoria turning her head to Cruise before the Mission Impossible actor taps her shoulder and plants kiss on her hand.

While some criticized Victoria for allowing Cruise to kiss her hand, others shared memes featuring Taylor Swift and her friends reactions at NBA Finals to express surprise.

However, most users saw it as a friendly gesture and called out those who tried to turn a light moment into a controversy.

"Well they are mates, what's the issue - NONE!," said a user commenting on the video that was shared with a suggestive caption saying, "63-year-old Tom Cruise and David Beckham's wife Victoria Beckham (52) were captured like this at an event."

"He's really good friends with the Beckhams. Stop trying to find a story that isn't there ," wrote another.

Sir David Beckham, the first English player to win league titles in four countries, was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ​on Friday, the day the U.S.-hosted portion of the 2026 World Cup kicked ‌off with eight matches set for Los Angeles.

Rather than a traditional Hollywood red carpet, the ceremony featured a green soccer-themed pitch carpet to commemorate the occasion.

Radio host Ellen K introduced speakers including Tom Cruise and Beckham’s ​wife, Victoria Beckham. Cruise praised Beckham’s journey, saying it was “a Hollywood story” of hard ​work, determination and global influence on sport and culture.

Victoria Beckham said the ⁠honor felt timely ahead of the World Cup in Los Angeles. She noted that soccer ​in the U.S. is entering “one of the most exciting chapters in its history.”

Taking the podium, Beckham ​called the moment “surreal.” He reflected on growing up in East London with dreams of playing soccer, never imagining recognition in Hollywood.
