Katie Price breaks silence as husband Lee Andrews leaves jail
Katie Price speaks out after husband Lee Andrews is released
Katie Price has shared the first update of her husband, Lee Andrews, after he was released from a jail in Dubai.
After four weeks in Dubai's Al Awir prison, he called Katie on FaceTime following his release. Throughout the call, Lee was seen smiling and looking relaxed, per The Sun.
Reports say Lee was released after a £140,000 fine was paid. Katie reportedly did not contribute any money toward this amount.
A source also said Lee returned to his rented home after leaving prison and called Katie immediately. The source said Katie was very happy he was free, especially because she did not have to pay any of the fine.
"Lee is out, and back in his rental. He called Kate straight away and she was thrilled – not least because she didn't pay a penny of the £140,000 fine to get him out," The Sun quoted the insider.
The source also said Katie knows people are criticizing Lee and believes staying with him may affect her public image. However, they claimed she still loves him and is very attracted to him.
The same source described Lee as a fraudster and said he should face consequences for his actions. They also said Katie should leave him.
Lee was arrested on suspicion of fraud. He has denied wrongdoing and previously claimed he was being held for espionage.
Katie insisted that the situation is real and not a publicity stunt. She said the past few weeks have been difficult but that she has stayed strong.
She told the newspaper that she is in Dubai to support Lee. She added that some people may not agree with her decisions, but she is doing what she feels is right.
Earlier, Katie had claimed that Lee had been kidnapped. However, his former fiancée, Alana Percival, publicly questioned that story.
In an Instagram post, Alana suggested Lee may have staged the situation himself. She said many people initially thought she was bitter or seeking attention, but she believes people are now seeing what Lee is really like.
Alana said she had tried to warn and protect Katie because, according to her, Lee had treated previous partners badly.
She also said she would continue speaking out until Lee is held accountable. Alana claimed that several women had been scammed by him.
Alana added that she has an ongoing police case involving Lee. Because of that, she said she cannot share all the details publicly. She said she hopes the truth will eventually come out and claimed that Lee has serious mental health problems.
