Barbra Streisand is reportedly facing serious health issues behind the scenes.

Although, the superstar revealed that she skipped the Cannes Film Festival on her doctors' advice as she recovering from "a knee injury," the sources claim that that with Streisand's resources, "a bad knee alone would never stop this trip to France."

"I am sadly unable to attend the Festival de Cannes this year," Streisand claimed at the time.

However, an insider told Radar Online, "She flies private. She would have had medical staff, assistants, whatever she needed. This is much bigger than mobility issues."

It is pertinent to mention Barbra Streisand has reportedly been low following her Oscars performance in March. As the superstar received backlash, it "shook her confidence badly."

"Barbra has always been incredibly sensitive and when she feels exposed or vulnerable, she disappears," the source said.

According to the singer's friends, Streisand may be stepping away from public life for good. "Don't expect another concert. Right now the focus is Barbra's health, her comfort and protecting her from unnecessary stress that could kill her," a source told the outlet.
