ASAP Rocky gets emotional recalling shooting at his, Rihanna's house: 'Robbed of my peace'
The rapper shared how his family is coping after the traumatic aftermath of the incident
ASAP Rocky broke his silence months a woman fired several shots into the Beverly Hills-area home of pop star Rihanna.
In a recent chat with Vibe, the rapper, who shares three kids with his longtime partner Rihanna, opened up about the traumatic shooting incident and admitted the thought that someone just opened fire at his family has "robbed" his peace.
The 37-year-old musician said, "It was f***** up ... somebody attempted [harming] me and my family."
As recalling the incident made him emotional, Rocky explained that it felt like he lost the right to just "be free."
"It took away a lot of peace and happiness of being able to just be free," the rapper continued.
"I don’t want to be robbed of my peace and joy," he protested.
For those unversed, the shooting incident took place back in March, when a woman named Ivanna Lisette Ortiz allegedly opened fire at Rihanna's and Rocky's home while they were inside with their kids.
The woman has since been charged with attempted murder and multiple felony gun charges. However, she claimed in court that she "wasn't attempting murder."
It is pertinent to mention that Rihanna and Rocky are parents to sons RZA, and Riot as well as a few months old daughter Rocki.
