Halle Bailey opens up about 'motherhood' in rare personal interview

Actress Halle Bailey is embracing the joys of motherhood.

Speaking to People magazine at The Peabody Awards on Sunday, the 26-year-old actress described motherhood as a “beautiful thing.”

For those unversed, Halle shares a 2-year-old son, Halo, with former partner DDG. 

When asked what kind of man she wants her son to be, the actress replied, “I guess I'm just trying to raise someone who's loving, who's kind, who is aware, who's intuitive. And he's all of those things.”

“I'm just hoping I'm doing my best,” she added.

The Little Mermaid star further told the publication that her son is her "biggest blessing," adding that Halo is a “very clingy, like cuddly boy.”

For those unversed, Halle and her former boyfriend, rapper DDG, welcomed Halo in December 2023.

“Even though we're a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo. The world is desperate to know you,” Halle penned on Instagram at the time.

It is worth mentioning here that DDG announced his separation from Halle in October 2024 after more than two years of dating. 

The I'm Geekin' rapper described the decision to break up with the actress as “not easy" but the “best path forward for both of us.””
