Jimmy Kimmel warns L.A. voters over Spencer Pratt: 'Don't repeat Trump mistake'
Jimmy Kimmel warns fellow Angelenos about a new Los Angeles mayorship hopeful
Jimmy Kimmel and Donald Trump have been in an alleed feud for years.
Now, with Spencer Pratt – a reality star – is a hopeful for a bid for Los Angeles mayor, the late-night drew parallel between his campaign and that of current president.
In his view, when Trump ran for presidency after his show The Apprentice was near to getting axed.
"Donald Trump ran for president because his TV show was going to get cancelled and he wanted to be relevant again."
But after making this point, Kimmel slammed Pratt in his monologue.
"Now, the difference between Donald Trump and this guy is Donald Trump actually had a job before he was on a reality show."
"He wasn't good at the job. He got all the money for it from his dad," the late-night host referred to Trump's father, Fred Trump.
"And the only thing he was good at was promoting himself. And it turned out that was enough."
"And as a result, we are now going to have to spend the next three decades digging out of this giant hole he put us in."
However, for Pratt, Kimmel said, "His profession is to be the screaming jerk on reality shows."
His breakout success reality TV shows include The Hills, The Princes of Malibu, Celebrity Big Brother, The Masked Singer, and Got to Get Out.
But Kimmel, in an ominous manner, warned L.A. voters "not to make the mistake we made with Trump with this campaign".
