Eric André reveals Netflix's demand to unlock his account
Eric André shares how Netflix unlocked his account that had been locked for years
Eric André recently admitted to using his former girlfriend’s Netflix account until he got an opportunity on the streaming platform.
On May 13 at the 2026 Netflix Upfront in New York City, PEOPLE magazine interviewed the 43-year-old American comedian and actor, asking him about landing a role in Netflix’s forthcoming movie Little Brother.
Shedding light on his new project with the streaming giant, André revealed he got locked out of his old account and was using his ex’s account until recently.
Alluding to the comedy film Little Brother, he said, "The only reason I got back on my account that I was locked out of for years is because I made this movie and I talked to people very high up in Netflix to get back in.”
"Yeah, I was literally just shy of asking Ted," he confessed, referring to the CEO of Netflix, Ted Sarandos.
For those unaware, Little Brother has an ensemble cast, including John Cena, Christopher Meloni, Michelle Monaghan, Ego Nwodim, Sherry Cola, Sophia Bunnell, and others.
It shows "a tightly wound realtor (Cena)'s picture-perfect life gets an extreme makeover when his lovably chaotic 'little brother' (André) suddenly reappears."
Little Brother, directed by Matt Spicer, is set to be released on June 26, 2026.
