Zendaya makes shocking confession about filming 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' with Tom Holland
Zendaya opens up about how she feels working with her fiancé, Tom Holland, in 'Spider-Man' movies
Zendaya recently admitted that filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day with her fiancé Tom Holland felt like a family affair.
For those unaware, Zendaya and Holland, who star as MJ and the titular character in the forthcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, respectively, first met on the set of 2016 Spider-Man: Homecoming. In 2021, they confirmed their relationship and announced their engagement in late 2024.
The 29-year-old American actress and singer opened up about how it felt working alongside her partner Holland in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
She told Elle in an interview, "Spider-Man was a dream; I get to go to work every day with my best friend, the person that I love. We bring our dogs to work; it’s like a family affair."
"We grew up on those movies! It's like coming home,” Zendaya said of the fan-favourite franchise.
In the upcoming film, after four years of Dr. Stephen Strange’s spell at the end of the 2021 film Spider-Man: No Way Home, Parker “anonymously protects New York City as the hero Spider-Man and investigates a powerful new threat while his superpowers undergo a surprising and potentially dangerous evolution,” as per its synopsis.
It is pertinent to mention that Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which stars Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, Mark Ruffalo, Tramell Tillman, Krondon, Melanie Scrofano, and others in addition to Zendaya and Tom Holland, is set to be released on July 31, 2026.
