Book makes new claims about Macron's 'affair' with Golshifteh Farahani despite her denial
Florian Tardif's book claims French President Emmanuel Macron's message to the Golshifteh Farahani were discovered by her wife Brigitte Macron
A new book has made some shocking claims about an alleged affair between French President Emmanuel Macron and Iranian-French actress Golshifteh Farahani.
The author, French journalist Florian Tardif, linked the affair to the viral incident in which the president's wife Brigitte Macron appeared to slap or shove him.
In “Un Couple (Presque) Pfait” (“An (Almost) Perfect Couple”), Tardif says Macron engaged in a months-long 'platonic' but flirtatious digital exchange with Farahani.
According to the author, Brigitte Macron discovered messages on her husband’s phone, including compliments such as “I find you very pretty,” during a flight to Vietnam in May 2025.
She allegedly confronted her husband in a heated argument that led to widely circulated tarmac incident in Hanoi.
Farahani was asked about the alleged affair when she was promoting her film Alpha last year. Speaking to Gala magazine in August 2025, she directly addressed and denied the rumors
The actress dismissed the speculation as baseless gossip, saying people “need to create romances” to fill a void.
