2026 Met Gala: Anna Wintour's alleged 'death list' of A-listers exposed
Anna Wintour's rumoured 2026 Met Gala hit list revealed
Anna Wintour is once again at the center of speculations surrounding the 2026 Met Gala.
Insiders have claimed that certain high-profile figures have been quietly sidelined from fashion's biggest night.
Wintour, the longtime Vogue editor has overseen the event since 1995. She is widely known for tightly controlling the guest list of the annual fundraiser held at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.
While no official blacklist exists, insiders told Radar Online that invitations are carefully curated and in some cases, not repeated. Sources shared that Wintour has a secret "death list" for the event.
No1 on Wintour's gala "hit list" is president Donald Trump, who the editor publicly named in 2017 as the guest she would never invite back.
"Anna does not forget – or forgive – when it comes to the integrity of her guest list. Trump represents a line she has drawn very clearly," an insider shared.
While Trump is the only one Wintour has publicly confirmed she would never invite, there are other rumoured celebrities who has been frozen out, including Kanye West.
The source said, "There is a sense that Kanye crossed from provocative into unacceptable."
"The Met Gala is about spectacle, but not at any cost," they added.
Notably, Lili Reinhart is said to have jeopardized her spot at the Met Gala after she criticized Kim Kardashian over 2022 event for extreme dieting.
Meanwhile, Rachel Zoe has reportedly fallen out after claiming that she was "more influential" than Wintour in fashion world.
Despite the rumours, the Met Gala's official stance remains same with a source familiar with the 2026 event stating, "There is no written list, but there is a memory – and it is long. Anna runs the gala like an editor runs a magazine. Every name must fit the narrative and tone she likes."
"You are either in Anna's world – or you are not. And once you are out, there is rarely a way back," they added.
