Kevin McHale recently expressed deep appreciation for his Glee co-star Heather Morris.

For those unaware, McHale played Artie Abrams, a boy with physical disabilities and Morris played Brittany S. Pierce, a ditzy cheerleader. Glee, a jukebox musical comedy-drama television series which ran for six seasons from May 2009 to March 2015, is about a group of “ambitious misfits” who “try to escape the harsh realities of high school by joining a glee club headed by a passionate Spanish teacher.”

In a talk with PEOPLE magazine, the 37-year-old American actor and singer revealed that he contacted Morris after her inclusion in the cast of 11 to Midnight was announced.

When he was asked if he offered her advice regarding her first on-stage role in a decade, he responded, “It's been more of like, ‘Oh yeah, this is hard.’ She was like, ‘I'm the oldest one in the cast.’ I'm like, ‘I'm the second oldest one in mine.’”

McHale went on to add, "We all have good work ethic. You do Glee, you come away with a very good work ethic. So she doesn't need my advice. I think it's more of just support.”

The Last Friday Night star admitted that he loves “watching her on stage” because she is “one of the most incredible performers” he has ever seen since “day one of rehearsal when I met her.”

"And so it's a gift, I think, for people in New York to be able to go see her. And selfishly, a gift for me, 'cause I can't wait to go see her and she belongs on the stage, truly,” McHale said, singing praises of Morris.

It is pertinent to mention that 11 to Midnight, the theatrical dance show, officially opened at the Orpheum Theatre in New York City on February 11, 2026, while Heather Morris became part of the show from April 9, 2026.
