Catherine O'Hara died of pulmonary embolism on 30th January 2026 at the age of 71
Catherine O’ Hara has left a permanent gap in the comedy industry with her death.
The comedy legend met her demise on 30th January 2026 at the age of 71.
Now, a new report of RadarOnline.com mentioned that the tragedy has left Schitt Creek’s fans hopeless for a revival.
"There is no Schitt's Creek without Catherine," one insider tipped. "And no one is interested in pretending otherwise."
As fans will know, speculations about a potential reunion of the show have been in the air ever since the show concluded with its five -season run in 2020.
"[O'Hara's] Moira Rose wasn't just a character," a source explained. "She was the soul of the show. The rhythm. The magic."
They further pressed that the show’s star-studded cast including Annie Murphy, Eugene Levy, and Dan Levy are in agreement that the show cannot continued without O’ Hara.
Doubling down on the rationale, another insider established that "it would feel wrong," to hope for a second installment of the show without the matriarch.
They concluded, "Honestly? Disrespectful."
