Catherine Zeta-Jones regrets leaving large roles in big-budget movies?
Catherine Zeta-Jones says she sometimes ponders the roles she passed on the big-budget films
Catherine Zeta-Jones is a well-known actress who has starred in several hit big-budget movies. However, sometimes she admits having thoughts about the roles she passed on.
These offers are particularly in films with heavy budgets. However, the actress tells People she does wonder about it, but overall, she adds that she is satisfied.
“I was offered a lot in my early career, and sometimes I kind of think, ‘Eh, I should have done it. But I didn't.”
Regarding her personal life and her work commitments, Zeta-Jones says it is ultimately a choice about how to balance both.
"I am very fortunate in my career in that I haven't had to work. I've been working since I was nine years old, and so it was always a choice to go out there and leave my family, my husband and my home and go out and do work.”
Zeta-Jones, who has featured in several commercial films, also notes, “I was lucky where I got to do quite big commercial movies — that were artistic — early on in my career. I've never really done anything for the money.”
In the meantime, the star's latest film, The Gallerist, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
