Kimora Lee Simmons says managing her kids is 'exhausting'
Kimora Lee Simmons got candid about life as a full-time parent
Kimora Lee Simmons is dishing on the hidden struggle as a mom of five kids.
In a recent chat with People, the 50-year-old model opened up about her chaotic life with her five kids, Wolfe Lee, 10, Gary Lee, 16, Kenzo Lee, 16, Aoki Lee, 23, and Ming Lee, 25, plus “bonus son” Jayden, 19.
"I don't sleep much," Simmons told the outlet. "I know that's bad."
Simmons, who is starring in her new reality show Kimora: Back in the Fab Lane, went on to say, "I'm always taking all the kids' orders, taking them to date nights, arranging cars. My oldest child is 25, and you can look at Miss Ming Lee's Instagram and then just know that I'm the mom on the other end in the middle of the night making sure everything's okay."
"Part of my exhaustion is managing the kids," she admitted.
Having kids of different ages, Simmons noted, she has "to wear a lot of different hats."
"It's not like one hat goes away or anything like that," she continued. "It's like all different versions at different times, and you have to juggle. It's a balancing act."
Simmons added that she doesn't "have a relationship really" with her kids' fathers.
"Usually I would say that I co-parent okay, but the kids are with me full-time. I'm pretty much the primary parent. It's difficult, but I don't know sometimes what other people are thinking. Guys are weird."
It is pertinent to mention that Simmons shares Ming and Aoki with her ex-husband, Russell Simmons; Wolfe with former investment banker Tim Leissner, Kenzo with actor Djimon Hounsou and adopted Gary from Jamaica in 2020
