Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt welcomed their first child last week
Pete Davidson and girlfriend Elsie Hewitt are officially in full baby-bliss mode after welcoming their daughter, Scottie Rose.
According to a new report from Us Weekly, the couple recently became first-time parents and are soaking in every moment as they adjust to their new roles.
A source close to the pair revealed that Scottie was born in New York, calling the past week “a whirlwind.”
“It’s been a whirlwind week, but they are obsessed with their baby girl and over the moon,” the insider shared.
“They want to raise her in upstate New York, where they have more privacy, normalcy, and it feels more suburban.”
The quieter pace of life away from the spotlight has reportedly had a calming effect on the Saturday Night Live alum.
According to the source, the upstate setting has brought Davidson, 31, "a lot of peace," as he and Hewitt learn the ropes of parenthood together.
While they’re still navigating sleepless nights and new routines, the insider noted that the couple makes a "good team."
"They have had their hands full and are still figuring out the parenting thing day by day," the source added.
Meanwhile, a separate insider told PEOPLE Magazine that Hewitt faced an unexpected hurdle almost immediately after giving birth.
Just one day postpartum, she reportedly had her wisdom tooth removed.
“Elsie is doing really well now and feeling so much better since having the tooth taken care of,” the source shared, adding, “It was an unexpected hiccup right after the delivery, but she handled it like a champ.”
