Cher responds to wedding speculation with Alexander Edwards

Cher will reportedly not marry her longtime boyfriend Alexander 'AE' Edwards, for now, regardless of the latest reports.

The 79-year-old singer, known as the Goddess of Pop, is not planning to marry her 39-year-old rapper boyfriend, whom she has been dating for three years.

"There is absolutely no plans for a wedding in her future," a Cher representative told Gossip List.

Currently, she is focusing on her career as she is gearing up for her Christmas single and preparing for her appearance on Saturday Night Live on December 20.

The report came days after the speculations that the singer does not care about her 40-year gap with Alexander and is all set to "commit."

An insider told the Mirror, "She has set her heart on walking down the aisle with him around the time of her landmark birthday in May."

"She sees her upcoming celebration at turning 80 as the perfect time for her and Alexander to seal the deal," the source continued.

"Cher doesn't give a hoot about their age difference and they're both ready to commit to each other," they added.

In a recent chat on CBS Mornings, Cher gushed over Alexander and their relationship.

"You know, you get older but your spirit is younger. I just love him. I think he's beautiful and he's really talented," she remarked.

Addressing the online criticism on the couple's age gap, she noted, "They're not living my life. Nobody knows what goes on between us. We just have a blast."
