Meghan Markle may soon receive a heartwarming message of reunion from Kate Middleton amid reports the Princess of Wales is ready to leave the past behind.
According to Radar Online, Prince William’s wife may send an olive branch during the festive season as she has set her mind on achieving family harmony and peace this year.
A source told the publication that Kate finds it “absolutely vital” that the royal family’s issues with Meghan and Prince Harry end.
"Kate is determined to make next year as peaceful as possible in all aspects of her life. To achieve that, she's realised she may need to reach out to Meghan and extend an olive branch,” said a source.
They added that even though the Princess of Wales still has “some lingering resentment” as she doesn't “fully trust Meghan and isn't looking to become close friends,” she believes that if “she and Meghan can find a way to connect, it would greatly improve William and Harry's chances of reconciliation."
The problems between Kate and Meghan began during the latter’s marriage to Harry with reports claiming the duo had disagreements on bridesmaids’ dresses.
However, Kate has understood the importance of family unity after battling cancer and is now ready to fulfill her role of making peace within the two parties.
Speaking on Kate’s role as royal family’s unofficial peacemaker, the insider said, "From a young age, Kate was always the peacemaker between her brother James and sister Pippa.
"She has a natural talent for diplomacy and a desire for harmony. She's fully prepared to start the process of reconciliation with Meghan and recognizes that someone has to take the first step – so she's chosen to be that person."
