Princess Beatrice and Eugenie have apparently decided not to attend their cousin Peter Phillips wedding to Harriet Sperling next month.

According to insiders, Sarah and Andrew’s daughters plans have changed in light of recent developments after police announced investigation into allegations Andrew behaved inappropriately towards a woman at Royal Ascot in 2022.

According to reports, Thames Valley Police have expanded its inquiry to include potential sexual misconduct allegations.

The close insider told the Royalist that Eugenie and Beatrice have been left "mortified" by the latest developments.

As per a report by the GB News, the insiders have claimed that although the York sisters had sent RSVPs indicating their intention to attend, and these had not yet been formally withdrawn, they would "never want to overshadow the bride and groom's happy day".

Also, their attendance at Royal Ascot on June 16 is hanging in the balance, which falls 10 days after the Phillips wedding.

The fresh claims came days after UK police investigating former prince Andrew said they are also open to probing a claim of sexual misconduct against King Charles brother.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the second of the late Queen Elizabeth II´s three sons, was arrested in mid-February after new revelations stemming from his ties to the late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.

Detectives at Thames Valley Police also said Friday they had been in touch with the lawyer of a potential victim following reports a woman was brought to Windsor, west of London, where Andrew was a resident on the royal family´s estate, in 2010.

The force is reportedly concerned that the public believes they are only focused on accusations of misconduct in public office by Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
