Blake Lively files new opposition in Justin Baldoni case
Lively sued in December 2024, while Baldoni countersued for $400 million, which was later dismissed
Blake Lively is pushing back against Justin Baldoni’s attempt to shut down her lawsuit.
The move comes after Baldoni sought to avoid the March 2026 trial by asking Judge Lewis J. Liman in November to dismiss the case via a motion for summary judgment.
In response, Lively’s attorneys filed their opposition on Thursday, insisting the matter involves far more than minor workplace disagreements.
“This is not, as Defendants claim, a story of minor annoyances fueled by creative differences, but instead one of a toxic work environment,” her lawyers wrote in court filings.
They claim Baldoni and team are framing Lively as the “bully” to dodge blame on set.
Her lawyers argued the defendants’ claims “collapse under overwhelming evidence” and asked the judge to deny them.
However, Baldoni argues that Lively’s harassment and retaliation claims were based on minor comments and miscommunications.
For those unversed, Lively sued in December 2024, while Baldoni countersued for $400 million, which was later dismissed.
