French model, actress, Lise Bourdin passes away at 99
Lise Bourdin's family confirmed she died peacefully
Lise Bourdin has passed away at the age of 99.
As reported by AFP News, the Love in the Afternoon star passed away peacefully at her residence, confirmed by her family.
Bourdin died just two days before what would have been her 100th birthday.
The actress and leading French model was known for her roles in The River Girl and It Happens in Roma.
Notably, Lise Bourdin entered modeling by chance after a man spotted her at a train station and introduced her to a photographer.
In 2017 interview, she revealed, "I made an appointment with [a photographer] and the cover was published immediately."
Bourdin graced the covers of Marie-Claire, Noir et Blanc and Harper’s Bazaar soon. She was also featured as a "youngster with a fresh country look" in Life Magazine in 1946.
