Liam Gallagher speaks out after breaking sobriety at final Oasis show
Liam Gallagher admitted he 'had a few beers' after the band wrapped its Oasis Live ’25 Tour in São Paulo
Liam Gallagher says he’s returning to sobriety after briefly drinking to celebrate the end of Oasis’ reunion tour.
The 53-year-old rocker recently revealed on X that he “had a few beers” after the band wrapped its Oasis Live ’25 Tour in São Paulo on November 23.
Gallagher had previously vowed to stay off alcohol and drugs throughout the reunion run, which reunited him with brother and bandmate Noel, 58.
The admission came when an X user shared an onstage clip of Gallagher on November 27 and wrote, “A week more of touring and he would have ended in a psychiatric hospital.”
Gallagher asked, “Why’s that then,” after which a different user then asked the musician if he had “gotten off your coconut yet.”
Gallagher responded by admitting that he did try drinking again, but “wasn’t feeling it.”
“I’m back on the righteous path free from temptation,” he wrote, adding in another reply that he’s “enjoying being sober.”
He also clarified that his post-tour indulgence was minor. Asked if he got “blitzed,” he said, “I had 5 lagers and got my head down. I couldn’t be arsed.”
The singer first announced in March that he was quitting alcohol for the July reunion tour. He later said he was also staying off cigarettes and drugs.
