Tiffany Haddish shares long-awaited update on 'Girls Trip' sequel
Tiffany Haddish steps out in Vegas — and drops new 'Girls Trip 2' details
Tiffany Haddish lit up the red carpet at the People and InStyle Drive-By Party on Friday night, held at The Venetian during the busy Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend.
The 45-year-old comedian and actress joined a long list of stars who turned out for the event, including Ali Larter and Hayes MacArthur, Angel McCoughtry, Cierra Ramirez and her husband Othrsyde, Paul Wesley, Tyler Posey and wife Phem, Kayla Nicole, Lewis Tan, and more.
Haddish, who smiled her way through photos and greeted fellow guests, also shared an update fans have been waiting for: news about the Girls Trip sequel.
The follow-up to the 2017 hit has been in development for several years, and while she didn’t disclose the exact filming location, she hinted at the vibe viewers can expect.
“I don’t know exactly where we’re going, but I know it’s somewhere exotic and somewhere we don’t normally go, but we should go as much as possible,” she told People magazine.
She added that production is finally on track: “That’s what I do know. We’re supposed to start shooting this summer.”
The original Girls Trip — led by Haddish alongside Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, and Jada Pinkett Smith — became a breakout box-office success thanks to its sharp humor and unforgettable ensemble chemistry.
Haddish’s update suggests the sequel aims to capture that same energy, this time in an even more adventurous setting.
With filming expected to begin in the coming months, fans may not have much longer to wait before the franchise returns.
