Nikki Glaser reflects on 'SNL' debut while monologue controversy continues
Nikki Glaser speaks out about unbelievable ‘SNL’ experience
Nikki Glaser’s first Saturday Night Live hosting gig might have garnered criticism, but she is focusing on the positives.
The 41-year-old comedian took to Instagram on Sunday, November 9, and shared a lengthy message on Stories, gushing about her experience.
“Post to come when I fully wake up, but oh my god. I can’t believe how amazing this cast and crew was. As a fan of the show, I just have to tell all the other fans that everyone at SNL is just as talented, elite, cool and kind as you’d hope they’d be. Literally everyone,” Glaser penned.
The media personality called the show “a dream” which she will never get over.
Glaser’s note did not mention the controversial monologue which was slammed by several fans.
The opening monologue touched upon sensitive topics like r-pe, slavery, human trafficking, as well as p-edophilia.
Social media users condemned Glaser as well as NBC, and SNL creators for letting the jokes run on-air without gauging the impact they could have on the audience.
Fans were surprised to note how the SNL writers did not veto the monologue before it went live.
