Lizzo makes red carpet appearance with boyfriend Myke Wright in LA

Lizzo and her boyfriend, Myke Wright, turned heads in Los Angeles during a rare red-carpet appearance, stepping out together for the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala on November 8. 

The night marked a special moment for the couple, who typically keep their relationship away from frequent public attention.

Lizzo, born Melissa Jefferson, chose a sparkling black dress paired with matching heels for the event. 

She kept her accessories simple, wearing minimal jewelry highlighted by a diamond choker. 

Wright coordinated with her understated look, showing up in a full Gucci outfit complete with a suit jacket, loafers and tinted sunglasses, giving the pair a sleek, polished presence on the carpet.

The outing was only their second red carpet moment this year, following an appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in March. 

Even though the world first learned about their romance in 2022, Lizzo has shared that they go way back. Speaking on Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast in May, she revealed their relationship began with friendship while they worked together on an MTV show.

“I had a friends-to-lovers trope,” she said, explaining that she worked in music while Wright handled comedy on set. 

At the time, she simply thought, “He’s my best friend.” Their bond deepened over the years, and the two officially began dating in 2021, though they waited a year before making their relationship public.

Lizzo expressed that taking things slowly felt right. 

She described how meaningful their connection became, saying, “We had this crazy bond for years, and I do love that we were friends first. That means we can talk about anything.”

Their Baby2Baby Gala appearance was another sweet reminder of how far they’ve come, a steady relationship built on friendship, patience and trust.
