Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco’s nontraditional wedding gifts unveiled

Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez didn’t want to go the usual route for their wedding gifts, so they came up with a thoughtful idea for their famous guests.

The 33-year-old songstress and actress shared that while she celebrated her big day, she wanted to honour the principles closest to her heart, and what better way to reflect those sentiments in the gifts they received?

Thus, the Lose You to Love Me hitmaker and the music producer, 37, requested their guests to make donations to the Rare Impact Fund, which works for the benefit of making mental health assistance accessible and common.

The Rare founder spoke about the idea of incorporating her passion project into the ceremony, during the third annual celebration event, saying, "I think it’s not so much that Rare was a part of it, it's just so much that we wanted — I wanted — to share with my community a little piece of happy," in conversation with People Magazine.

"They’ve changed my life, so that was my way of doing that," the Only Murders In the Building star continued.

Gomez, who started the non-profit five years ago, has raised more than $20 million so far to help people all around the world with mental health assistance.

The Disney alum told the outlet that she thinks of the fund as the project she is “most proud” of. "I'm just honored and stoked to see it come this far," she added.

During her star-studded nuptials on September 27, Gomez paid tribute to Pinterest, which is one of the "top-tier sponsors," behind her company, as she told the guests, "Hey, they helped me with my wedding."
