Victoria Beckham credits motherhood for teaching her calm amid rift with Brooklyn

Victoria Beckham has shared how she manages to stay calm during 'intense situations,' admitting she learned this through being the mum of four kids.

The fashion designer, 51, recently gave fans a sneak peak into her career and personal life with her eponymous Netflix docuseries earlier this month.

For context, the three-part series followed the former Spice Girl in the run up to her Paris Fashion Week show in September 2024-the biggest catwalk occasion she has ever organised.

Now, David Beckham's beloved wife has opened up on how she manages to remain outwardly calm in stressful situations.

Taking to Krista Smith on the Skip Intro podcast, Victoria explained that she has learned to 'internalise' her feelings, so as not to affect those around her, but admitted that 'there's a lot going on the inside.'

She said:

'I think I have always been quite a disciplined person. You know, that's just who I am. That's how I lead my life. But I do, I cope quite well in those intense situations.

'And this is how I choose to lead my team. I have to internalise those things, because if not, it has like a domino effect, and this not productive.

'And I surround myself with great people. We will work, very closely and very well together. And I am juts mindful of that. Is one of my, might you call it leadership skills, if you like.

'I am glass half full. I am very positive .I believe in positive energy. But there's a lot going on the inside.'

Victoria also admitted that motherhood taught her to be discipline, confessing she is a bit of a control freak.'

She said: 'Well, listen, let's be honest I have got four children as well. Okay, so I think that as a mum you learn to, you know? '

The truth is I am a control freak. Well, I say I went into the documentary process a control freak and I have come out the other end a reformed control freak, because I haven't had that control.'

Her comments come amid reports of an ongoing rift between her and David's eldest son, Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30 with the family reportedly not on speaking terms for months.

Besides Brooklyn, Victoria is also mum to Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and Harper,14.
