Trump laughs as son impersonates him during Charlie Kirk memorial
Trump Jr. mocks father's social media habit at Charlie Kirk memorial
During the somber occasion of the Charlie Kirk memorial, Donald Trump Jr. drew laughter from a massive crowd by mimicking his father, the president of the United States.
Thousands gathered at the State Farm Stadium to pay homage to the conservative activist and the founder of Turning Point USA, who was fatally assassinated on September 10th.
During the event, many prominent conservative figures, including JD Vance, Robert Kennedy Jr. etc, delivered speeches paying tribute to the 31-year-old.
However, the speech of Donald Trump Jr., who was very close to Kirk, took a lighter turn when he lightened the mood by mimicking his father in his distinctive style.
Adopting his cadence and mannerism, he joked, “You know, Don, you're getting a little aggressive on social media. Don, relax!”
The U.S. president then laughed heartily and gave his son a thumbs-up from the audience. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed the moment.
“He embodied something at the very core of our movement,” Trump Jr. added.
Paying a heartfelt tribute to Kirk, he remembered his philosophy of winning through ideas instead of silencing opponents.
The memorial concluded with the address from Vice President JD Vance and an emotional speech from Erika, Kirk’s widow.
