Cardi B nods off in court as $24 million lawsuit unfolds
Cardi B spotted dozing during closing arguments in high-profile trial
Cardi B has taken the internet by storm after reacting during one of her ongoing trials.
The Bodak Yellow rapper, who is currently embroiled in a $24 million lawsuit, was spotted falling asleep during the trial’s closing arguments.
While she did try to keep her eyes open for as long as possible, fans couldn’t ignore her behaviour in court after the video went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter.
One social media user wrote, "If you’re nodding off in court with $20M on the line, maybe you don’t take your freedom seriously enough."
Another chimed in, adding, "Don’t matter how boring the trial is. You’re in a courtroom, show some respect."
For the unversed, Cardi was recently cleared of assault by a Los Angeles jury.
This update comes shortly after security guard Emani Ellis claimed that the musician attacked her cheek with a three-inch (7.5 cm) fingernail back in 2018.
The trial, which took place in Alhambra, California, lasted about an hour before the jury found Cardi not guilty.
Despite the confrontation, the artist said she only argued with Ellis but never physically touched her.
