Lil Nas X arrest takes shocking turn after explosive new reports
Lil Nas X legal woes deepen as the rapper will remain behind bars in Los Angeles
Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X faced a dramatic turn in Los Angeles after being arrested during a bizarre public incident that left fans and bystanders stunned.
The 26 year old rapper, whose real name is Montero Hill, was taken into custody on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Officials confirmed that he has been held at Van Nuys Jail since late that morning, with records showing his booking time at 11:22 a.m.
Police explained that the Call Me By Your Name hitmaker could not be released without facing a judge because of the charges involved.
The bizarre chain of events began when Lil Nas was seen wandering shirtless in public, as witnesses said he later stripped down to only his underwear and boots while wearing a traffic cone on his head.
However, surveillance cameras showed him acting in a way that raised fears of a possible overdose, sparking calls to the police.
Things got more weird when officers tried to detain him and according to authorities, the Old Town Road singer suddenly charged at them and was accused of battery on a police officer. NBC News sources claimed he struck an officer twice, though police have not officially confirmed those details.
Lil Nas X has not spoken publicly about the arrest, and his representatives have stayed quiet as the story continues to unfold.
