Jenna Ortega is nothing short of a brilliant actress, according to Steve Buscemi, who recently shared a screen with her on the second season of Wednesday.
The 67-year-old actor plays the character of Barry Dort in the upcoming season, which is set to release this year.
“Oh, she's great,” Buscemi said in conversation with People Magazine during the Family Dinner fundraising event hosted by Exploring the Arts.
Continuing to gush about his co-star, Buscemi added, “She's just, she's so sharp and funny and down to earth. And just a wonderful actress, a wonderful scene partner. The best.”
When asked about clues for what to expect on the upcoming sequel, the Boardwalk Empire star stayed tight-lipped, saying, “All very hush-hush, as they say, but I think it's going to be a great season, and I loved working on it.”
Previously discussing the sequel, Ortega revealed that this season has some of the best scenes she has ever seen in the show. “Some of the footage that we shot in Wednesday season 2, especially in the last episode, is some of my favorite footage from the show,” she told E! News at the time.
