‘Twilight’ star Ashley Greene reveals salary she got for 1st franchise movie
Ashley Greene shares how much she got paid for her 1st ‘Twilight’ movie
Ashley Greene is looking back at her Twilight days—and no, it wasn’t exactly a financial windfall at first.
Even though she helped launch one of the biggest teen film franchises of the 2000s, her paycheck for the first movie was a lot more “small indie film” than “box office blockbuster.”
“At the time, I thought it was a lot. But no, I think we had Schedule F,” Greene, now 38, said during the April 8 episode of the Inside of You podcast with Michael Rosenbaum.
The actor revealed her salary for playing the stylish and psychic vampire Alice Cullen in the original 2008 movie was around $65,000.
For those not deep in Hollywood lingo, “Schedule F” refers to a contract that sets a flat fee for an actor, regardless of how many days they’re on set. Basically, it’s a fixed check, no bonus for extra sparkle time.
Greene didn’t spill too much more on the financial side, but fans of the saga might be surprised to learn that her paycheck was a far cry from what leading stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson reportedly earned.
As Bella and Edward, they were said to have pulled in around $2 million each for their first appearance in the Twilight universe.
Still, things got better with time.
Greene confirmed her salary improved with each sequel. “Peter Facinelli … because he had been established,” she shared, noting that even some supporting cast members made more in the beginning.
“But all of the people who hadn’t done much [got paid less].”
Greene remained a constant presence throughout the entire saga, playing Alice across all five films—New Moon, Eclipse, and both parts of Breaking Dawn.
And while her early salary might not have screamed “immortal riches,” her role in the cultural phenomenon clearly left a lasting mark—and, eventually, a bigger check.
