Nina Dobrev and Shaun White's wedding plans: What we know so far

Nina Dobrev is still getting used to one thing since her engagement to Shaun White: people constantly asking when the wedding is. 

"How often people ask when the wedding is," Dobrev told People magazine.

It's been five months since the Vampire Diaries actress, 36, and the former professional snowboarder, 38, announced their engagement. 

The actress shared that even White's mother asked about the wedding plans immediately after they shared the news. "Literally the day of. The first day. I think when we got off, when we told Shaun's mom, the first thing she asked is, 'When's the wedding?'" Dobrev recalled. 

"We were like, 'Literally, it just happened. We have no idea.'"

The couple got engaged in New York City, with White proposing to Dobrev with a 5-carat diamond ring under an arch of white roses. Dobrev described the moment to Vogue, saying, "I went into shock. I just froze and stared at him."

A source close to the couple previously told the outlet that White had been planning the proposal for months and that their friends knew it was coming. 

The insider described the couple as "the perfect fit together — fun and adventurous, but also very grounding for each other."

The Love Hard actress and White started dating in 2019 and moved in together during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

They went Instagram official in May 2020, with Dobrev giving White a quarantine haircut. White told the outlet in April 2023, "We're just enjoying our time together right now. No pressure... But I told her, I was like, 'Look, after the Olympics, I finally got my freedom to do whatever. And let's just have fun and be together and support each other.'"
