Jenny Slate, who worked in It Ends With Us along with Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni gave an unusual response as she was asked about the ordeal.
The 42-year-old actress had a candid interview in the promotion of her upcoming FX series, Dying for Sex, after previously showing support for Lively.
When asked how she would compare her upcoming series to It Ends With Us, Slate told The Hollywood Reporter, “I don’t have anything to say about that.”
The actress continued, “Everything is its own thing. I poured my heart into this work, and every minute of [Dying for Sex] was important to me, and I just want to talk about that."
Later in the interview, Slate defined her boundaries about interviews as, “Anyone can ask anything, but my only responsibility is to speak about the work I’m there to promote. It was so important to me to get this job, so why would I spend time talking about anything but that?”
This comes after Slate voiced her support for Lively earlier in December after the Gossip Girl alum filed the lawsuit.
“As Blake Lively’s cast mate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reported to have planned and carried out an attack on her reputation. Blake is a leader, loyal friend and a trusted source of emotional support for me and so many who know and love her,” Slate told TODAY at the time.
