Kensington Palace issues delightful update as William, Kate begin new chapter

Prince William released a meaningful statement after he and his beloved wife, Princess Kate, began a new chapter of life after the future Queen recovered from cancer.

The Prince of Wales recently visited Sporting Khalsa FC in Willenhall, West Midlands to receive an update on a program of recruitment of 1,000 referees from Black, Asian, and Mixed Heritage backgrounds.

Kensington Palace first posted a series of photos from William's exciting outing and issued a major update on FA’s Reflective and Representative campaign which was launched in March 2023 for hiring of referees from different ethnicities. 

The message alongside the pictures reads, "With over 3,800 now registered and 938 bursaries awarded, the impact is clear. Great to see West Midlands club, Sporting Khalsa FC, facilitating inclusion at every level!"

Moreover, William's office shared a video from his royal engagement, featuring the future King practising the role of referee.

In a statement, he said, "Fantastic to step into the shoes of a referee today in Willenhall and learn firsthand about officiating through the FA’s Reflective and Representative campaign."

"Everything from recognising fouls to making those big yellow and red card decisions. Huge respect to the referees who keep the game fair and flowing every week."

It is pertinent to note that the Palace issued this delightful update after William sent a message to the world with his thoughtful gesture for Catherine at the Commonwealth Day Service.

Judi James told The Mirror that the future King adored his wife but avoided "steering pats and touches," hinting that Kate is fully recovered and does not need "support and encouragement."
